Covid-19 Vaccinations for Alberta Residents

We are currently administering Pfizer/Biontech Covid-19 vaccine for eligible Albertans. Although we are still prioritizing people who have not yet received their first dose, Alberta government has now outlined second dose eligibility which represents a shortened period between first and second dose. Second dose must not be administered any earlier than 28 days after the first dose and no later than 16 weeks. New second dose eligibility represents a maximum spacing of the second dose at approximately 8 weeks.

The new eligibility rules are as follows:

  • First dose received in March – eligible for second dose immediately
  • First dose received in April – eligible for second dose as of June 14th
  • First dose received in May – eligible for second dose as of June 28th

Appointments for vaccination can be made by accessing our online appointment scheduler at . Once added to our waiting list you will receive a booking link when we can confirm the number of vaccine doses we will receive. Vaccine shipments have been limited to all pharmacies in Alberta based on supply from Ottawa and the current demand from Albertans. Most vaccine orders placed are reduced by Alberta Health based on their allocation formula.
